Guest guest
Dear Friends, A partial recap of last evening's class: The main meditation of Chapter 2 is when all the Gods put forth light and the form of the Divine Mother became manifest. Look at all the Gods within you and see from which place came which light. These verses can be viewed as a nyas. Nyas means to establish within; here the power of the Gods, and their the weapons are established within. Specifically, from the Source of Bliss, Shiva: face Power that controls, Yama: hair Consciousness that pervades all, Vishnu: arms Devotion, Sowmya (Moon): breasts Rule of the Pure, Indra: midsection, Lord of Equilibrium, Varuna: legs and thighs Earth, Bhuvah: buttocks and hips Creative Capacity, Brahma: feet Light of Radiance: toes Minders of Wealth, Eight Vasus: the fingers Guardian of Treasure, Kubera: Nose Lord of all Beings, Prajapathi: Teeth Clarity of Meditation, Agni: Third Eye Time of Worship, Sandhya: Eyebrows Lord of Emancipation, Anila, Wind God: Ears She is in the fire, in the deity, and in the body – the container of consciousness Questions: 1. Why did Madhu and Kaitabha come from Vishnu' ears? Too much and too little come from our perceiving things in the world through our senses. When we see or hear things we start feeling that we have too much or too little. 2. When we lose battle with the Ego, daily, what is the highest attitude as a devotee? To the Goddess, we say, Forgive me, I made mistake today, tomorrow I am going to try again. And keep trying everyday for the rest of our lives. 3. In Chapter 1, what is the spiritual significance of the king being driven from his kingdom and the businessman running away from his family? The King is driven from the Kingdom of Good thoughts. I would like to protect my kingdom of good thoughts Samadhi is no longer in Samadhi and he is in the world of thoughts when he thinks about his family. We are all trying to get back our Samadhi and our kingdom of good thoughts Love Srini
