Guest guest
Namaste all: A disciple of Ramakrishna asked Him: " Why are we bound in this way? Why can't we see God? " Ramakrishna answered: " This egoism, this sense of " I " that exists in all beings, has been bound by the deluding power of maya. This ego is continually inviting maya. Maya covers and deludes the ego of every individual. Oh, only when I die will all the maya go. When one fully understands that God alone is the doer, such a man becomes liberated even while in the body. Because of the deluding power of maya, our " I " is like a small cloud which obstructs the sun. Because of the cloud, you can't see the sun. When the could of egoism is removed, you may see the light of God. If even once you can fully leave your identification with " I and mine " , {egoism} at the feet of the guru, then you will have the vision of God. ......If I hold a towel in front of my face, you can no longer see me, and yet I am so close. In the same way, God is so close to every one of us, but because of the covering of maya we don't see God. " May we all have that vision of God.
