The 13th day of May is a very special day....because it is Suresh's

birthday! Dear Suresh, please listen very carefully: even though this

message is posted late in the day, you can still hear all your

friends and family at the Devi Mandir singing 'happy

birthday, Suresh'!

From the Devi Mandir Garden of Bliss we have collected this Seed of

Wisdom as our birthday gift to you:

 

" The devotee says: " I have great fear of all these worldly duties. In

all this work in the world, selfishness will become intermingled.

Even when I try to act unselfishly, there is still desire for the

fruits of the work. It seems impossible to get rid of every last

trace of selfishness. If I do perform work with desire, that work

will create bondage for me causing to forget You. So please reduce my

need to work in this world so that I can attain to You. Whatever

activities that You give me to do, please bless me that I can perform

them without any personal desire. May my every act express only my

pure love for You. Please don't increase my worldy duties as long as

I have not attained You Grace. When You instruct me to do so, I will

do Your work, and if You don't instruct me, I won't do anything. "
