Guest guest
Narendra was a twenty-year old devotee of Paramahamsa Ramakrishna. This God-intoxicated sage referred to Narendra as "the Unsheathed Sword" and said that he (Narendra), used the sword of wisdom with great intensity to cut away all sense of limitation, all superimposed conceptuality, leaving naked truth alone in the hearts of those around him. Once, while in the company of Narendra, the Master placed His palm at His heart centre, and told Narendra "when you sing Naren, the one who dwells here rises up like a big black cobra, hisses faintly, spreads its hood, holds itself perfectly still and listen to your music." This hymn, sung by Narendra, was said to be one of the Master's favourites --- Within the black sky of Wisdom The full moon of love is rising Creating a floodtide of ecstacy. Waves of Divine Bliss are surging Up the river of relativity. The victory is Yours alone, O Blissful Mother Kali. Victory unto Thee.
