Guest guest
The benefit of doing group sadhana in an ancient temple in a pilgrimage place would be very profound. The vibrations created over the ages by the sages and devotees are stored in such a place and doing sadhana there with such divine people as Shree Maa and Swamiji; and the family would bring those vibrations out and make them accessible. Related to this question, I would be very pleased to hear people's suggestions about taking care of practical details in planning to meet Shree Maa and Swamiji in Banares in November. I've never been to India before, although its been a dream of mine. I don't know if I can really afford it, but I would like to try. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to where to find good prices on tickets to India from Los Angeles? Also, suggestions as to where to fly into, getting to Banares and things like hotel suggestions would be helpful, too. If I do go, I think I would like to maybe combine the pilgrimage to Banares with a pilgrimage to Braj and maybe even a pilgrimage to Dakshineswar and Kamarpukur. It seems to me that it would make sense to fly into Delhi, then go to Braj, then on to Banares and then on to Dakshineswar and fly out of Kolkatta. The thought of this makes me very happy, but also makes me intimidated. Any help that anybody can give that might guide me would be greatly appreciated. Jai Ma! Jai Swamiji! Jai Ramakrishna! Guest guest
GOD IS OMNIPRESENT. -Though so easily forgotten. We tend to take life for granted and our touch with nature, in where we can feel her presence stronger, has been lost in the bewildering noise from the City of Oblivion (the world as per today). We have been told that God is within a church. And indeed we feel something more of her/him in there than outside in the busy world. This do have much to do with the fact that so many other people too have this idea that God is more present there than outside. We all bring with us our prayers and devotion into a building and leave behind energy there that effect the people coming into such a place. The energy stored in ancient temples in India, that have been a pilgrimage for worship for hundreds, even thousands of years, will have a deep profound holistic impact on those privileged to visit such places. When traveling there together with swamiji and Shree Maa ,and do sadhana like the rishis, I do without doubt believe that this is one of a few life´s opportunities to really awaken from oblivion and become more aware of our divinity and god´s omnipresent. Kaliananda did point out something that may also be a result of such a group sadhana: " This can also have the effect of divine remembrance gifting us to be used as vessels to make our surroundings, the world a better place " What else can be worth living for than be part of moulding the " city of Oblivion " into the " city of Heaven " ? Anybody from Scandinavia out there?
