Dear Henny ~ well, this puts the arrow in the center of the target. I'm there. Is there anything further in the vedic passage you quoted that shows a way out, a ray of hope? Of course I know the way out and the ray of hope is/are the Guru and the Goddess, and the tools of sadhana and dharma. Just wondering if the passage had anything to say. Guest guest
Dear Linda, good to hear from you again! How about this: " Omnipresent, immortal, the Goddess of places high and low: Darkness is repelled by the Light. She gave definition to Her sister, the Dawning Light, the Goddess who comes. And the Darkness departs. She is ours now. May we see Her effortless, unimpaired movements upon the earth as a bird sees from its dwelling in a tree (remaining only the witness) " (vss. 2-4) you'll find the entire Ratri Suktam on p.86-88 of the Chandi Path (that is, in my copy, pagenumbers may differ but look for 'vedoktam ratri suktam') with love, Henny , nierika wrote: > > > Henny wrote: > > " Drive away the wolves of confusion, > dispel the wolves of egotism, the thieves: > hunger, thirst, greed, illusion, grief and death. > Then be to us the excellent crossing to Wisdom. > > The all-pervasive Darkness is near me, > existing as individual forms in the blackness. > Oh Dawning Light, dismiss this ignorance.
