Namaste all family: tonight, Thursday night, Guru Purnima, we sang,

danced, chanted, and offered gifts and our love to Maa and Swami. We

began by all meeting at Napashwar, the Shiva lingum in the woods, and

Maa and Swami led us in Shiva puja. Then back to the Temple, where we

chanted the Guru Gita, the song of praise to the Guru, the celestial

prayer / chant extolling the cosmic virtues of the Guru. We all

offered to the Divine Homa as we chanted.

When we completed that prayer, we sang many songs. As Maa led us in

singing, each song took us higher and higher until the words all

merged into Maa, Maaa, Maaaaa, Maaaaaaaaaaaa.

Then we performed a Divine aarti. Huge trays of 30 candles each, all

blazing like the full moon. We each danced and bowed to the deities

on the Divine altar, and then to Maa and Swami.

After aarti, we lined up to have a personal blessing from Maa and

Swami. As each devotee bowed to their feet, they give gifts of

flowers and fruits and dakshina. Maa and Swami each gave a tilak and

Maa gave each devotee a small piece of red cloth, blessed by Her, to

keep in one's wallet or on a locket around one's neck, to bring good

fortune and blessings.

So high we all were. So full of love.

When the Guru feels the outpouring of pure devotion from their

devotees, they respond with blessings 1000 fold. Words cannot

describe the love expressed tonight by Maa, Swami, and their devotees.

It was truly a blessed evening.

All Glory and Love to our Gurus. May Lord Shiva and Divine Mother

grant them everything they need to complete their sankalpa on this

Earth and may their devotees be granted Pure Devotion so that they can

become the pure reflection of the Guru.

The Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, and the Guru is the Great

Maheshwar. Verify, the Guru is God. the Living, Shining, Embodied God.

As Maa said tonight: " The Guru is Everything. Without the Guru you

are nothing. "

Bow down to your Guru, thank your Guru for everything, EVERYTHING,

that you have, and remember that you are Divine.

Jai Ma Jai Swami

Love
