Guest guest
Namaste all family: in the Introduction to the Guru Gita, Swami describes what a Guru is: " in olden times, the ancient rishis maintained limited desires: dharma-to attain an ideal of perfection; artha-to procure that amount of material necessary to attain that ideal; kama- to become free from all desires. The perfection of these 3 is called moksa-liberation., otherwise known as self realization. For beings of such limited desires, the Guru is the example which inspires and instructs in the course of union with God. ....Guru manifests the goal, demonstrates the path, and illuminates the darkness and thereby becomes the purest reflection of one's highest aspiration. " Maa and Swami demonstrate these highest ideals of perfection. Their words are God speaking, their actions are God acting, and their aspirations for us are God's aspirations. They are God in human form. And they remind us that we are also God in human form. No matter how dark the night, or stormy the weather, they stand with arms outstretched holding a lantern high, lighting the path for us to see. Countless are the stories of their intervention in the lives of their devotees. For they live to bring us across the ocean of objects and relationships, to bring us to God. Surrender to the Guru, serve the Guru with all your heart and soul, align yourself with the Guru until you can perform selfless service for them without being asked or told. Leave nothing inside your heart but them, and you will be free. Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar
