Guest guest
Namaste Jorge: Thanks for spreading Maa's love to Brazil. This is so wonderful that you have a group of devotees to join in satsunga. Please post the name and a link to the web address for the club on Orkut and I will be happy to join in. I am sure others will post there too. Are there many devotees who come to the satsunga? Do you tune into the Mandir web casts? What do you do at the satsunga? God bless and Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar , " templodekali " <templodekali wrote: > > Namaste family, > > There's a social network website that's very popular in Brazil, it's > called Orkut and now the members of that site have a community to talk > about devotion and the activities of Shree Maa and Swami Satyananda > Saraswati. Guest guest
Namaste Vishweshwar, The meetings have been performed since 2005, but formerly we had no property of our own and the meetings were realized in a Yoga Club that was made available by the devotee Jorge Oliveira. Now the meetings happen in a commercial room that I use to teach English and Sanskrit downtown Rio de Janeiro. The link to the community in Orkut website was already sent in former message: http://www.orkut.com.br/Community.aspx?cmm=44366434 We have about 150 members in all groups we keep in and Orkut but most of them don't live in Rio de Janeiro city so we have about half a dozen people that attend Satsangas regurlarly. All Satsangas start with Shree Maa and Swamiji's videos and a short presentation of them, I usually translate the videos because most Brazilians are not acquainted to English. Then we read and talk about the sadhana we're going to train that meeting and solve eventual doubts. The last part is the actual performance of the sadhana and sharing the prasada. On July's meeting we practiced " Navarna Mantra Viddhi " together. The idea is that people may take what they have learnt and practiced in the group to their homes. Jaya Maa, May Mother Kali bless us Jorge Farias
