Guest guest
Namaste Manjusha: thanks for the wonderful post. I completely agree that the Guru is the key to our spiritual growth. Without the Guru, who would guide us, who would be our example of the Highest Ideal of Perfection? Who would nudge us back to the path when we become unhappy, bored, fearful? Yes, the Guru ignites the spark, then they fan the flames, then they heap more wood and ghee on the fire. As it says in the Guru Gita: the Guru is Brahma, the Guru is Vishnu, the Guru is the Great Maheswar. The Guru is God Manifest. The Greatest Gift is having a human body, and with that Supreme gift, God gave us a Guru to realize our full potential.
