Dear maadevi and group: is there any place on the Devi Mandir Group site, or on the Shree Maa web site that tells one how to determine the dark and bright fornights? Are they standard ~ the same day/time every year? If they change, again, how can one know? Thank anyone who can clarify this for me. ~ LindaLooking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos.

Thank You!Jai Maa,--- On Thu, 8/14/08, maadevi55 <maadevi55 wrote:maadevi55 <maadevi55[www.ShreeMaa.org] Re: to maadevi and group about dark and bright fortnights Date: Thursday, August 14, 2008, 11:05 PM

Namaste Devi Maa,

The moon goes from full to dark and dark to full. At this time,

approaching the full moon we are in Shukla today being the 13th day of

the bright fortnight or Tryodashi. This coming Sunday, the day after

the full moon, i believe the dark fortnight will commence. Remember

also that the days of the months vary from 28 to 31 days so even if one

counts from the 1st day, some knowledge of the moon phases would be

needed to know which days the moon overlaps like the 10th day of this

bright fortnight for instance, was celebrated on Sunday and Monday 10

and 11 Aug.

At least this is my understanding. Hope it helps.
