Guest guest
Namaste all family: For the past 2 weeks my wife and I have been out of town with my widowed Mother-in-law for a visit back East for her 90th birthday party and family reunion. I learned so much from her. Every day, come what may, she performs her prayers in the Catholic tradition. Every event which occurs, she accepts with balance and patience. If she became upset, she caught herself very quickly, and apologized. She lives in the world to help others, and with her prayerful attitude, she tries to bring peace and love to every part of her life, in all her relationships. When she prays, she asks God to help those in need, and she asks God for patience and balance to accept His Will. She views all that comes to her as God's Grace. Thus, she does not fight or argue or become angry with God, but accepts His Will, and seeks to commune more deeply with Him. As I watched her interact with the 70 family members at her birthday party, I realized that this woman had an immense positive effect on all these people. Her simple, kind, loving actions reverberated through all the generations of her family and friends. And, each has taken that loving energy, and integrated it into their lives. Her life has reminded me that the most simple actions have the most profound effect and that keeping true to one's core principles brings one into a very deep and personal relationship with God. Faith is strengthened by years of prayer and adherence to the principles of one's religion, and God's power and strength grows in one's life as one surrenders to His Will. I offer these reflections to you all as her gift. Jai Ma Jai Swami vishweshwar
Guest guest
Dear Vishveshwar, Thank you for sharing with us your wonderful insights. Your mother-in-law reminded me of my own dear departed mother who showered love on us, her children and everyone around her. She always placed everyone's needs before her own, and helped everyone to the best of her ability. Her love has been a source of strength to me always in my life. May God bless your mother-in-law and thank God for people like her who are a source of inspiration to all. And thank God for our spiritual mentors Maa and Swamiji who have touched our lives with their magic wand! manjusha , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste all family: For the past 2 weeks my wife and I have been out > of town with my widowed Mother-in-law for a visit back East for her > 90th birthday party and family reunion.
