Namaste Devi: As I understand, you select something to wear, i.e., a

locket with a picture of Maa inside it, {or anything sacred to you},

and perform the steps of worship and " life giving " mantras Swami

discusses below in the post you discovered on the Mandir web site.

Then you wear it. All the time. It is your personal power protective

amulet. Take it off when bathing, etc., and don't let anyone else

touch it.

If you need more data, we can ask Swami.
