Guest guest
Namaste all: continuing on with the last part of verse 5, page 8 of the Advanced Shiva Puja, translated by Swami. .... " Experience the fruits of your prarabda karma, the actions performed in the past, the fruits of which are being experienced in the present, and after the past karma is complete, with an attitude of one mind, go the realms of Union with the Highest Divinity and remain there. " In the first part of the verse, the Master recommended that a devotee sit in a quiet place, and look into oneself and see the bondage of the gross world to the soul, and reduce the necessity for action. Don't allow your thoughts to be bound by karma, and with wisdom, free you mind from bondage. Now, He continues and asks us to simply EXPERIENCE, while not being attached, the fruits of our the past karma, and when that is complete, go into Union with the Divine, and stay there. Beginning with Verse 1, and ending with verse 5, the Master has been guiding us to One Goal: Union with the Highest Divinity. He has provided us with many recommendations and tried and true techniques to realize the Goal. He has emphasized the following: 1.necessity for True Knowledge from a Master 2. a keen and discerning intellect, 3.the discipline to focus our attention on making decisions which will continually lead us to the Goal. 4. engaging in satsunga with like-minded devotees, 5.renouncing our attachments to the world, our body, and our home. 6.follow the advice of our Master 7.perform seva to our Master 8.perform conscious focused action, according to the Ideals of our Master and their tradition, in order that we not create further disruptive karmas for ourself. As we become more and more refined, and perform karma which produces more subtle and powerful positive outcomes for ourself, we will automatically begin to be less and less attached to the fruits of our actions, and more in touch and in tune with the powerful healing and guiding vibrations of God and our Master, thus, the Goal of all Goals will be realized.
