Guest guest
Namaste Linda: the 6 verses are in the Advanced Shiva Puja text, in the beginning of the text, written by Shankar Acharya. These 6 verses can be chanted prior to any act of worship or meditation, etc. They help focus our mind and heart on the highest ideal of perfection. They can be used as a meditation by themselves too. The other subject is ancestor worship, from the Cosmic Puja, it is the chapter called : Tarpana, near the end of the text. These verses can be chanted every day until the 28th of September. We began chanting Monday the 15th. I usually perform Shiva Puja, and then chant these verses. The Shradda ceremony will be perfromed by Swami and the Mandir family in the Temple September 28th. The time has not been announced. It will likely be broadcast via web camera to the world. Anyone can send in names of ancestors to be read during the ceremony. Send them to me off-line.
