Dear AllAshwin Navaratri is just around the corner, and Swamiji has given us a group sankalpa.

The sankalpa is two fold -

The first involves chanting of a specific portion of the Chandi as many times as we can and contribute to a group total of 1008 (yes, ladies and gennulmen that is One thousand and eight) repetitions in the 9 days of Navaratri.

The second involves each of us reading a chapter of the Chandi each day and coming up with 3 (THREE) things that we learned from that chapter each day. Since there are 13 chapters, this portion of the sankalpa will go for 13 days.

Of course, as part of the sankalpa, the participants share the number of repetitions that they have done each day so that we keep track of the group tally. And the participants post on the group to share the 3 things that they learned from the chapter...

Interested ? Just sign up on our poll, and send me (chandimaakijai) an email each day letting me know how many total repetitions of the chapter that you have done that far.

This is going to be fun folks !!! Are you ready ?

And Oh - the portion of the Chandi that we are going to chant is called the "Atha Brahmaadi Saapa Vimocanam" ie "And now, The Removal of the Curses by Brahma and Others". It starts on page 49 of your book (in both new and old editions) and goes on until Page 55.

Jai Chandi MAA !!!!Nanda
