Guest guest
Namaste all: Tomorrow Maa and Swami will dissolve the creation. It is a ceremony called Maha Loy, the great dissolution. Swami told us tonight to get all our affairs in order, and Sunday they will dissolve the creation. During the 9 days of Navaratri, all attention will be focused inwards, meditating in all ways, on Maa Chandi. Swami has given us all who live outside the Mandir a great sankalpa, see Nanda's post for details, in order to tune into Her. For those living at the Mandir or close by, we will be meeting every morning at 4 or 4:30 AM Pacific time to begin each of the 9 days singing Mother songs together, then performing aarti. When we are done, Maa and Swanmi will begin their sadhana in the Temple, and each of us will perform our own sadhana. So, either tune in via the web cam each morning, and sing with us, or, start your day in your Temple with songs and aarti, then perform your sadhana and the group sankalpa. This sankapla will link us all to Maa and Swami, and bring us great benefits and joy. As we chant the mantras, the Divine Fire in our hearts will grow brighter and stronger, drawing us inside, into Her embrace. In that sacred space, She will take our fears and pain and negativity, and leave us in Bliss. God bless you all, and Happy Navaratri. Guest guest
Namaste everybody, As we wrapped up the evening tonight -- Maa sang for us!-- Swamiji talked a little about Mahaloya puja/homa tomorrow. Tomorrow (Sunday, the 28th) is the last day of the Hindu calendar year. It is known as Mahaloya or the Great Dissolution. Tomorrow the universe will dissolve back into the Divine Mother. On Monday the universe unfolds again and new Creation begins. Whatever we still have on Monday is what the Goddess has blessed us with for another year. As Vishveshwar mentioned, He spoke of making sure our affairs were in order. Then He illustrated this point with a story: Swamiji said " Harischandra was a king who had performed a lot of tapasya (austerities). One day Indra, Ruler of Heaven, came to him and said, 'You have made great sacrifices; the doors of are now open to you.' Harischandra replied that he was a king and that anything he did was for the welfare of his people. He could not possibly go to Heaven and leave them behind. 'I will only go if all my subjects are allowed to go with me.' Indra said that was impossible. Among his subjects there were many good people worthy of Heaven, but there were also many who would not be allowed in. 'Take all the merits I have accumulated over these years and spread them around. Those who need more take more and this way we can all go to Heaven for one day together, ' said the king. Indra agreed. Harischandra went to his subjects and announced the good news. Many of his subjects were ecstatic at the prospect of visitng Heaven, but some were not! They did not want to leave all their things/relationships behind! " So take the day to make sure you have your life in order.....who knows when Indra may come and invite you up to Heaven! You don't want to miss the opportunity! Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaai Maa! , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste all: Tomorrow Maa and Swami will dissolve the creation.
