Chap 12

1. The presentation of the glories of Mother destroys all disturbances and should be recited with full attention and constantly listed to with devotion.

2. Though Navaratri is celebrated four times annually, particular reference is made to the Autumn Navaratri (vs 12), this makes me wonder whether this Navaratri celebrated during the Aswin mase is the height or summing up of the Navaratris.

3. We must seek to satisfy Mother, only then does She grant us Wisdom and Perfection. She is the Destroyer, She is the Creator and She is the Preserver. By praising and worshipping Divine Mother She bestows understanding, wealth, offspring and a BEAUTIFUL MIND IN THE WAY OF TRUTH TO WISDOM.

Chap 13

1. In the offerings of worship to the Goddess the invitation says "Please come here, oh Great Goddess, Giver of all wealth! Please remain sitting still until this vow of worship is not complete…….." Through disciplined meditation one obtains the complete intuitive vision of the Mother that stops the dance of delusion and causes Her to pay attention to the worshipper.

2. The bird mind must give up everything – fickleness, attachments - and think only on Mother.

3. Mother wants only the best for Her children and indeed gives us only the best.

Dear Mother,

You grant the best to all the worlds, and stand and save the universe.

Remover of the suffering and calamity of the universe

Be gracious to us.

Pranam
