Namaste:

I'm not sure, but it is probably in the 100s of thousands. Many times

those who are seeking enlightenment or practicing a sadhana that the

guru has recommended recite the mantra literally 100s of thousands of

times.

You would need to rise at the hour of Brahma every day (3:30 am), and

chant for at least an hour and then at sunset chant for another hour.

This would go on for years.

Namaste all,

Actually one repetition would be enough, if it was done with full one-pointed focus with all your Heart, Soul and Might, and with a truly Open Heart that didn't want anything in return.

Might take 9,999 Million lifetimes of chanting it to bring you to the place where you can do this though.

I am sorry that I must disagree with you Shankari on the fact that you have to chant during Brahmamurti and at sunset to get siddhi. While those are good and tranquil times, they are not requirements. They are only suggestions. Any and all times are good.

Also the 100s of thousands of times you are possibly referring to is a purascharana of the mantra, where you do 100K repetitions for each syllable plus more at the end for various types of "dakshina". Siddhi certainly isn't guaranteed from this either.

Better to ask why you have such a desire for siddhi of the mantra? Why act with an expectation of results. Why not just chant it in an attempt to just please HER without wanting anything in return? Just for the pleasure of chanting HER Name....one of HER Names.

JAI AMMA MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
