Guest guest
To Devi Mandir Family, especially those at the Mandir ~ do Maa and Swamiji celebrate or commemorate Diwali. I have been reading about it as the festival of lights and the triumph of light over darkness. It is interesting to me that this holy day (holiday) comes so soon after Navaratri when we celebrate the triumph of the Supreme Goddess over the Great Ego and his army of negative thoughts. If Diwali is celebrated at the Mandir is there any way for devotees, spread around the world, to participate in this celebration. Thank you. Jai Maa !!!! Jai Swamiji !!!! ~ LindaNew MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Dining, Movies, Events, News more. Try it out! Guest guest
I will be lighting lamps and worshipping Ma Kali at the very least. This is Her most important festival. Kali turns from Her slaying of the asuras and shows Her loving tenderness towards Her spouse, Who lays at Her feet to remind Her that the battle is over. (for the time being). She shows love to all Her devotees as well and tells us not to be afraid of Her. She is our Loving Mother as well as being our Fierce Protector. As Swamiji makes clear, She absorbs our darkness into Herself. And then the lights can really shine!!! Om Jai Ma Kali!!! Om Namah Shivaya!!!
