Guest guest
Namaste all family: There is no place like the Devi Mandir in this world. As Maa said to me the first time I visited 11 years ago: " This is Heaven. " Every aspect of this place has been created and nurtured with one thought in mind: Remembering Your Divinity. Far from the noises of the city, and surrounded by hills, nestled in a valley, away from the eyes of man, you enter the Mandir grounds, and as you go through the gate, you feel a change in your consciousness. Immediately you feel deep silence, and a humming vibration of energy and joy. With each step you sink deeper into yourself, leaving the troubles of the world behind. You know that something special is happening to you, and you cherish every moment. Then the Temple comes into view. When you enter the Temple, your thoughts, already calmed by vistas of trees and sky, stop as you gaze upon the images of Divinity. Everywhere you turn, a Diety rests upon an altar, and in the center of the room, the fire dances in the sacred homa. The very air vibrates with the eternal repetition of mantras. Whether you hear them or not, their influence is omnipresent. Every cell in your body, your very DNA, and your eternal soul, all hum in harmony with the vibration of sacred sounds. As naturally as breathing, you desire to express the love which wells up from deep inside. Whether you sit by the fire and chant, or perform worship to a Diety, or simply sit and close your eyes in prayer, your heart opens in joy. " This is Heaven " , Maa said, and She was right. Guest guest
Namaste dear Vish and family, I had never know such peace and tranquility until visiting the Devi Mandir, and with each visit it get harder and harder to leave. There is a song in one of the Mandir's song books called This is our Mother's World it seems to echo your description of the mandir in song. Hear are the words – This is our Mother's world, and to our listening ears All nature sings and around us rings the music of the spheres; Yjis is our Mother's world, I rest me in the thought Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas, Her Hand the wonders wrought! This is our Mother's world, the birds their carols raise, The morning light, the lily white, declare our Mother's praise! This is our Mother's world, She shines in all that's fair, In the rustling grass I hear Her pass, She speaks to me everywhere! This is our Mother's world, Oh! Let us now recall The many ways to sing Her praise for blessings She gives us all! This is our Mother's world, why should our hearts be sad? Come dance and sing, let the heavens ring, Let all the earth be glad. Thanks Vish. May your hear tcontinue to blossom.
