The weather was perfect in Benares. It is amazing that despite being chaotic Benares exudes peace... There were devotees from many parts of the world and I met a small part of the Devi Mandir family. I met Maa and Swamiji for the first time and was overwhelmed by the energy they radiated. Their spirituality affected everyone, evoking the best in all of us. We spent a magical evening in Sankatmochan, singing the Sunderkand. The Abhishek of Annapurna Devi and then the chanting of Durga Pathah were absolutely divine. Swamiji even took time out to give us beginners a small talk on the Sanatana Dharma. Their love, their way of making everyone feel special and welcome, their kindness, their simplicity and transparency have stayed in my heart and I bring home with me a deep feeling of peace and love. Blessed are you who have the privilege of being with them !! I fell in love with them. Maa's intuitive remarks and Swamiji's deep learned insights and their practical down-to earth approach to life... And Maa thinks I should be called Manjushri ... so please note!
