I received a very positive impression from Devi Mandir when I first stumbled upon the website, and am glad to discover the same sense of community on this list. I think that it would be close to impossible for me to forget about the divine Mother in this life; still, the reason why I raised some concerns regarding the use of Her mantras is because I believe the sounds they express possess genuine power - and all power, of course, is best handled with caution. At present, I will stick to what is for me the simplest mantra, and will do my best to learn more. No doubt, further questions will arise. If Shree Maa and Swamiji teach that the devotional recitation of the Chandi and Sri Lalita Sahasranama is open to all even without initiation, then I trust their authority. I have just ordered " Before Becoming This " and am much looking forward to reading it... My greetings to all the Devi Mandir family, Jai Maa!
