Being with the Guru

Namaste Linda and all family: I was speaking with a devotee who

returned from the India tour. He spent the entire trip in Maa and

Swami's presence. He loves them dearly, but lives out of town. While

he is a regular visitor, he has a family and a very full life in

another place.

He said that wherever he is, he feels Maa inside, all the time. For

She and he are one in consciousness. They are the SAME. We all are

the SAME, Maa is just aware of that supreme REALITY, ALL THE TIME.

One does not have to be with Her to have a close relationship. One

has to cultivate a relationship with Pure Consciousness, One's Own

Pure Nature. Then one can be One with Maa.

How? By prayers, puja, japa, etc. If instead of talking on the

phone, or watching TV, or going to the movies, we performed japa, and

chanted the Lord's name, how quickly we would leave our minds behind

and move closer to the stillness, calmness, and peace of our True

Nature, God.

Even if we cannot sit up straight on the floor for hours and hours, we

can sit it a chair, or in bed, and chant God's Name. We can chant

while doing the dishes, or bathing, or taking a walk. There are so

many times we can point our minds towards God.

That is all we have to do.

As Ramakrishna said over and over, JUST TAKE ONE STEP TOWARDS GOD, AND

HE WILL RUN TOWARDS US.

Jai Ma Jai Swami
