Guest guest
Dear Joan ~ I didn't know about Deities having their own day of the week. Could you please send the whole list for a week. I would so appreciate having this information. Many thanks. Guest guest
This is according to the solar calendar, because that is simple for me to follow. There is a different arrangement if you follow the lunar days (titau) Some people might come up with slightly different lists then what I have learned. You might notice on the Spiritual Calendar that certain chants are done on certain weekdays, this is because the system of Deity worship on different days is being applied there. This list is very general and if there are special festivals, that would take precedence for me. Sunday (Ravivar)is for Surya (the Sun) Monday (Somavar)is for Shiva as is also the Full Moon day (Purnima) Tuesday (Mangalvar) is for Durga or Hanuman Wednesday (Budhanar) is for Vishnu Thursday (Guruvar) is for worshipping the Guru. On the Spiritual Calendar it is recommended for us to recite the Guru Gita. Friday (Shukravar) is for Laksmi or in my case I worship Anapurna on that day. Saturday (and the Dark Moon) are for Kali or for praying to Shani (Saturn) Hope that is useful for you. Om Jai Kali Ma! Om Namah Shivaya! , nierika wrote: > > Dear Joan ~ I didn't know about Deities having their own day of the week. > Could you please send the whole list for a week.
