Usha and all: Maa is Chandi

Namaste Dear Sister Usha and all family: I heard your shout all the

way to the Mandir. So glad the web camera is working again. It is

the greatest gift that anyone anywhere with a computer can see and

hear Maa and Swami perform worship, and devotees can worship with them.

 

The devotees who went to India told me how one has to pay a priest to

perform a very brief puja for them in the temples while we have the

privilege to learn how to perform the worship for ourselves.

Maa and Swami came to the West because Ramakrishna told Maa that She

must come and teach Her Western children how to worship. Maa told me

recently that when She first came to America, She went into samadhi

all the time. Swami suggested that She stay in the world so that She

could teach and demonstrate an ideal life.

Thus, She took his advice, and changed Her life in order to become a

more effective teacher for us all. She embodies the Ideal Mother,

giving everything for Her children. And She embodies Chandi,

fearlessly entering into the darkest corners of our lives in order to

destroy our egos and make us whole again.

What an example She is for us all.
