Guest guest
Namaste Eric, Danielle, and all: I think all of us in this club share your concern for the suffering people in this world and we all want to help bring peace to this universe. I believe that compassion for the suffering of mankind brought Maa and Swami and the other Great Ones to this world, and that we too incarnated in order to do our part to help make this world a better place. In the same way a Mother runs to her child when it cries out in pain, the cries of suffering millions have brought the Mother of the Universe to this Earth. She takes an Earthly body, and gathers Her children to Her breast, and offers each the succor which they require in order to manifest their highest ideal of perfection. To some She gives mantras, pujas, homas, japa, and other powerful tools to help themselves and the world. To others, She offers compassionate counselors, doctors, and nurses to bind their wounds and give them some love in a cold dark existence. To others She gives the gift of music, dance, and artistic expression in order that they may bring some light to this world. And to others She gives good friends, neighbors, and co-workers who offer a loving hand, and soft and gentle words when all others are screaming. While we may not be aware how the gifts we have been given effect the suffering masses of this world, the Great Ones like Maa and Swami tell us that prayers and mantras for peace, a kind word, a heartfelt " thank you " , and " I love You " , have tremendous power to heal and bring peace. So, let's begin right now, right this moment, wherever you are when you read this, close your eyes and pray for peace. You can invoke pure love, God's pure light, divine compassion, and all the Gods and Goddesses: and pray for peace. In that simple prayer, we join with the Pure Energy, the Divine Essence, of Maa and Swami and all the realized beings, and together we send out love and peace to every being, everywhere. Do we want to strengthen our prayers? Of course we do. So Maa and Swami offer us puja, japa, etc., to purify ourselves so that we can remember our Divinity, and begin to live more ideal peaceful, balanced lives. Maa and Swami pray that each of us achieve our highest ideal of perfection and live in this world as peaceful beings. Thanks to Maa and Swami for being here on Earth. And thanks to you, my Divine Family, for your compassion and commitment for Universal Peace. Jai Maa Jai Swami vishweshwar
Guest guest
Beautifully said, Brother Vish! My heart goes out to all the people suffering, dying and being mistreated in the world today. And those who perpertrate these crimes are suffering just as much! I need to be as strong and peaceful as I can be, so for one thing, I do not add to this churning chaos and for another, so I don't add it to anyone else's life. Then I can begin to do the positive steps (prayer, japa and practical help) that will make a difference. Shree Maa and Swamiji lead us along that path to make us strong, whole and peaceful. My grateful pranams go to them, for giving with both hands to their children here in the world. Om Jai Ma Kali! Om Namah Shivaya!
