Guest guest
Hi All, This is a question for one who knows Sanskrit: What is the meaning of the term 'yonirapsvantah'? The term is on page 100 of my copy of the Chandipath, verse 7 of the 'atha sri devyatharvasirsam'. Many thanks! Guest guest
Dear Durga, My attempt: Mama: My Yonih: womb (Swamiji translates as creative energy) Ap (also sometimes aap): Water Sva: self Antar: In the midst or interior Samudre: ocean (Swamiji translates as inner ocean) Mama Yonir Apsvantah Samudre: My creative energy is in the (midst of) waters of the inner ocean. The gross meaning is The Goddess' womb is in the middle of some ocean (like the Pacific Ocean). The subtle meaning is that Her creative energy is inside us, in our inner ocean.
