Guest guest
Dear family,Between 20 -23 December is the shortest day of the year, or the winter solstice, in the Northern Hemisphere. This year its on 20th December. The occasion is celebrated almost all over the world. It has different names in different countries. In almost all cultures it marks the rebirth of the Sun, as a victory of light over darkness. The occasion is celebrated in Iran, (on 21 December) since ancient times, as 'Shabe Chelle' or 'Shabe Yalda'.I am making a request to all my friends and acquaintances, in Iran and all over the world, to light a candle on this night to dispel the darkness of ignorance, and to say a small prayer for World Peace. You could light the lamp in your heart, the gesture is important. Please ask your family and friends to join in.I intend to do extra malas of the japa recommended by Maa - 'Sarvabadha Prashamanan.. + Durge, Durge..' `Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya' Lead us from the darkness to light…. Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji!Manjushri
