Dear Rick, it is with great joy that we celebrate this day! I have not been very active lately and I am sorry for that. My life took a rather dramatic change about seven months ago that I now feel I can share with you all. I am a transgender woman. I have always known I was born female but was too fearful to admit it. My Maa's grace I am no longer afraid of who I am. I have been living full time as a woman for six months and my new name, which becomes my legal name on January 16, is Elena Jane Kelly. I have been asked to curtail some of my activities at the temple in Livermore where I have served for nine years, but our Divine Mother has opened many other opportunities for puja and teaching that I never had before. My heart is filled with joy and blessing more than ever before. She is my light, my joy, my very heart, soul, and being. May it be so for all of you as well.
