Namaste all family: this is a great teaching. Thanks for sharing it.

It really describes the feelings I have. After reading it, I wanted

to know what Maa has to say to us about this topic. I randomly opened

the book: SHREE MAA, THE GURU AND THE GODDESS, and on P. 96, a quote

from Maa attracted my eyes.

Maa was asked what are some of the obstacles to self realization.

Maa replied: " ..selfishness is the biggest obstacle because when

selfishness comes, you will have forgetfulness and limited freedom.

The best way to overcome selfishness is with sincerity. "

Question: can you take passion for an object and transform it into

passion for the divine?

Maa replied: " Absolutely. You deify your object. If you are

passionately in love with a beautiful lady, take you passion and put

it towards manifesting the highest respect for every action you

perform, because you are performing that action for the perfection of

that relationship. You will attain realization through respect in

every action. "

What does that mean to each of you? How do you feel about Her statement?

Jai Maa Jai Swami

could go on.  After discussion, They meditated and the answer came to

them.  They created great distractions and attachments that would bind

the creatures to the planet Earth.  They created love and loyalty,

lust and greed and egotism and many other attachments.

And when they managed to break their bonds, there was such a feeling

of freedom and joy and if possible they enjoyed the presence of the

Supreme Divinity even more because of the struggle to attain that unity.

Peace to you, Vish.

My thoughts on this blessed and divine interpretation:

Desire to your hearts content with an attitude of gratitude. After

all, everything is a gift from God. If we remained steadfast and

undistracted, how would we grow? There's nothing wrong with desire.

Thank you Mother!

love to all!
