Guest guest
The following poll is now closed. Here are the final results: POLL QUESTION: Shree Maa and Swamiji have given us TWO sankalpas for 2008. 1) -- Incorporating Chandi into one's regular sadhana and 2) -- Chanting a mantra from the Chandi atleast one mala a day for world peace. Please let us know which of the sankalpas that you intend to participate. Here is what Maa and Swamiji had to say about each of the sankalpas 1-- On the Chandi Sankalpa =============================== Namaste to all devotees who want to integrate the Chandi into their regular sadhana, It is a wonderful journey that you propose to embark upon, and Shree Maa and I support this plan more than 100%. Our assignment is to become very familiar with the kavacam, argala, kilakam, devi suktam and narayani stotram, vedic devi suktam and siddha kunjika stotram, and then begin adding one other chapter a day until you complete the book. Then start over again until it is comfortable. Then add two chapters a day, three, a siddha path, and then the whole book. Then you will have to come here for some time to take the next steps (which we highly recommend). 2)-- On the Mantra sankalpa - one mala a day for 2008 for world peace " Dear Beloved Children, Thanks for helping to bring peace to yourselves and this universe. We are very proud of you. This year please recite the following mantra: " saranaagata diinaarta paritraana paraayane sarvasyaarti hare devi naaraayani namo-stu te " " For those who are devoted to you and take refuge in you, even though helpless and perplexed, you save them from all discomfort and unhappiness. All worry you take away, Oh Goddess, Exposer of Consciousness, we bow to you. " (Translated by Swami Satyananda Saraswati-Chandi path-Atha Sapta Sloki Durga verse 4, chapter 11-verse 12) Please do at least one maala (108 times) each day for 2008. With your prayer this world will get peace.
