Namaste swamiji, pranams to you.

 

i am wondering about some things referring to mahalaya.

 

as i understand every navaratri begins with mahalaya on the full moon

before navaratri then kali puja the next day,

and mahalaya consists of shradda and tarpana.

 

i am wondering what is shradda in this context. i only know the word as

faith.

 

and tarpana i understand as thanking our lineage. the only place i have

these mantras are from the kali puja which i am wondering, are these

the mantras to always use for tarpana or just during kali puja? is

there anywhere on the site which contains other tarpana mantras?

 

and would these 2 consist of a full mahalaya sadhana?
