There is a very powerful eclipse tonight that starts at approximately 10PM PST and continues until approximately 2AM, with the maximum degree of eclipse occurring around midnight. It is accompanied by many planets: Guru, Rahu, Budha, Chandra and Surya are all in conjunct or close to conjunct. This is a tremendously potent time for japa, and most jyotishi agree that the eclipse will have a significant impact on the world economy, probably for the worse.
