Guest guest
Shiva Puja Class #2: Gayatri Mantra Meditation Namaste all family: Swami's Advanced Shiva puja class is amazing. Even after 10 years of performing Shiva puja daily, I am learning new things and my experience is deepening. As the Consciousness of Infinite Goodness, one realizes that one will never really know all there is to know about Shiva, but how fortunate we are to be able to listen and learn from one who has worshiped Shiva for many, many years, and sat at the feet of Shree Maa and imbibed Her Grace. Last night Swami instructed us in meditation of the Gayatri mantra, see Pages 16-17 of the Advanced Shiva text. He said that each of the syllables of the mantra, matches with a chakra of our body. So, BHUH, the first syllable, matches the lowest chakra. Then BHUVAH, 2nd chakra, then SVAH, 3rd chakra, then MAHAH, 4th chakra, then JANAH, 5th chakra, then TAPAH, the 6th-or third eye, then SATYUM, the crown, or top of the head. Also seven chakras, 7 syllables, 7 states of consciousness. Start at the base of the spine, and repeat the mantra, then move up to the next, etc. As you bring your consciousness up, you are becoming more and more subtle, from gross physical, to infinite at the crown. Imagine dissolving each gross level into the next more refined state. Then once you have reached the crown, reverse the process and return to the root chakra. Amazing. What a gift. The great sages who experienced this, then were able to pass it on verbally from Master to Disciple for thousands of years, then finally writing it down, now Swami passes it onto us. Guest guest
Yes, we are so fortunate to have this experience I ask myself, " What did I do that could have made me priviledged enough to have these experiences of sitting at the feet of one is who is so totally immersed in God? " And he wishes to share it all with us, he's not hoarding it or charging enormous fees to us for this knowledge. What I am most impressed with in the classes so far is the fact that Swamiji's relationship with Mahadeva is so relaxed and natural. He shows us the way to be devoted to our Ishta Devata. Just to be that simple and natural. Oh, Shiva, are you a little dry? Here is a bit more water! Shiva is his friend, his companion, even his buddy. That is my ideal of the realtionship between me and my chosen ideal. Close, like family, like very close friends. And yet something more. With love, Kumari , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Shiva Puja Class #2: Gayatri Mantra Meditation > > Namaste all family: Swami's Advanced Shiva puja class is amazing. > Even after 10 years of performing Shiva puja daily, I am learning new > things and my experience is deepening.
