Guest guest
Namaste all family: In Shiva class Friday night, Swami spoke about prana pratistha because a devotee said that when she performed prana pratistha to her lingum that it was like adding water to the ocean and she really did not understand what she was doing. She said that if prana was already in the lingum, then why did she have to add more? What is the point? Swami explained that one of the purposes of performing this technique is to develop a relationship with prana. We have to train ourselves to be able to see it, feel it, and move it around and know that we are establishing life in the lingum. We have to experience it as real, not just a concept. So, by adding my prana to the already existing prana in the lingum, my prana is mingling with that in the lingum, and now I can see my prana and feel my prana, and I have more of a relationship with the lingum. This prana links all life together. If I can move it in my body, up and down my spine as I perform bhuta suddhi, and enliven it at specific points in my body as I perform matrka nyasa, then I can move it out into the world and put it into my Shiva Lingum, then take it back out and put it in the yantra I have established in my heart, then I can begin to see and experience that I am linked to all creation. Then, when I rise up after puja and go into activity, I can see the prana everywhere, and move the prana from myself into everything I touch, everyone I talk to, into everything. I can establish life. This is the realization of the concept of living a spiritual life. So, Shiva, please give us all the ability to see Your Essene, Your Prana, everywhere, in us, in all creation, and KNOW, AND FEEL, AND TASTE AND TOUCH YOUR ESSENCE EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME. To be One with YOU,and One with All Creation: that is the Goal. Please give us this boon, this realization. Thanks to Maa and Swami for giving us this knowledge, and expressing it so clearly, and LIVING IT, so that we may " wake up " and live fullness too. Guest guest
Thank you, dear Vish, for the prayer that expresses so beautifully what my question was about. As soon as I saw your post I went to the website to see if the class had already been uploaded and, thanks to the efficiency of the one responsible for this service, it had!! Watching and hearing Swamiji's reply has made all the difference, now I begin to see how a tendency to want to understand things from a conceptual point of view can stand in the way of actual experience. I am very grateful for the opportunity to ask questions in this manner, with love, Henny , " inspectionconnection108 " <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > Namaste all family: In Shiva class Friday night, Swami spoke about > prana pratistha because a devotee said that when she performed prana > pratistha to her lingum that it was like adding water to the ocean and > she really did not understand what she was doing.
