Guest guest
Dear misra ~ I'd like to give my humble take and experience with this reality. For me, part of my spiritual path has been to see everything and everyone through the lens of Divinity, so that I know and experience that, in essence, all is sacred, regardless how it "looks" to my smaller self. I have had spontaneous experiences where this has happened to me, and it is inexplicable, but imagine looking around wherever you are ... place, people ... maybe there are both good and "badvibes" ... and seeing transparently, seeing the Divine Heart within, without which no one nor no thing could exist. Imagine seeing this delicate glowing crystaline yellow "light" extending from the heart of each thing and person and surrounding them, until everything and everyone is bathed in the Light of Divinity. I am nobody on this path to have been graced by having these experiences, but perhaps it was God/dess's way of letting me know that, despite what I experienced growing up, at the base of things, S(he) was the very vibration that "sung" this universe into being. Writing this brings me to tears ... I don't think I would have survived without this grace from God/dess. misra wrote: ....If objects change their perspectives depending on how you look at them, does it mean that it does not really matter how you look at things(because that might depend on which society you live in or where youcome from) because it doesn't change the reality. Is our spirituality geared towards 'seeing' the entire object withoutbeing biased... Guest guest
Dear Linda, I can see the divinity in your words and thank you so much for sharing your experience. You are indeed blessed to be able to see the divine light in all beings!! We live in an imperfect world, biased by the information systems around us that tell us what we should think. Most of us lose our own sense of judgment - and stop listening to the small voice inside which guides our hearts. There was a book I read a long time ago - Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. By Robert M. Pirsig. The book begins with a greek quote - What is good and what is bad, Phaedrus, need we ask anyone to tell us these things? - I am not sure who said this, Socrates? It's hard to be standing alone- even with the truth on your side. So most of us choose to be what our systems expect of us. I think spirituality means living our lives passionately, with conviction, without worrying about other perspectives. I wish more of us could actually experience the sameness of every living creature, instead of living with one perspective or another. It would be a more spiritual world. God Bless You. And I am so glad we belong together to the same Devi Mandir family and that we can share our thoughts despite never having met, despite living in different cultures, different geographic regions!!
