Guest guest
Namasta all family: In 2005 Maa and Swami published RAMAKRISHNA, THE NECTAR OF ETERNAL BLISS, it is a translation of the KATHAMRITAM from the original Bengali. I remember well as Maa and Swami sat with us each Saturday night night in the Temple at the Devi Mandir, and Maa and Swami would read the original Bengali addition of the KATHAMRITAM and then they would translate each word into English. Their goal, as they stated in the foreword of the book is: " It is our desire to update the language of this tradition, and to reaffirm its relevancy for our times. Also, we wish to convey even more of the inspiration of Ramakrishna and maybe present him as less of an intellectual and more of the ecstatic mystic that he was. ....We want to try to communicate the eternal bliss, in a way that inspires devotees to go beyond the intellectual meaning of the words into the Vyakulata, into the love which takes us beyond the selfishness of the mind, into the ecstasy of pure devotion. " I hope each of you can purchase and read this book, it is tremendous. It is available at the Devi Mandir on-line book store. You can really feel yourself at the feet of Ramakrishna, with Maa and Swami leading you into His truest feelings. Guest guest
Thank you Vish for sharing the information below. In fact I was inspired by their book to buy the 'Gospel...' by Mahendranath Gupta. Lucky You to have shared the making of the book, and to have been at their lotus feet to share the divine moments. Thank you for sharing those moments with us. I can almost re-live it.
