new understanding and chanting mantra

dear vish and all ~ I am writing today because I believe that Maa has led some to a different understanding of my physical pain. When I woke up this morning, I could barely stand or walk, the pain was so horrible that I was crying. Then I called out to Mother to help me with the pain. I usually ask for help to endure it without complaint, but I realize that it still shows up on my face

The "answer" I received was to greet this pain as a friend because it is helping me to burn off parabda karma. I have never had this idea before. So, right away, I began to talk to the pain, to tell it that now "I am going to have a different relationship with you. I am going to greet you with a smile and with thanksgiving in my heart." This seemed, on the one hand, such an obvious idea, and on the other hand I thought of how it will be hard to do. But I don't feel it will be hard; that was just an errant thought. I feel it is a sankalpa I have taken, and I further have received the message that, after greeting my pain with thanksgiving to then chant my mantra.

For everyone who has shared their use of mantra as part of everyday life in an ongoing way, you have my utmost thanks. And please tell Shree Maa for me, thank her for me.

Jai Maa Jai Swamiji

I have seen a change in my mind since Maa began talking about focusing on mantra. For example, when I awake, but eyes are still closed, and I am not ready to get out of bed, mind will be wandering to and fro. Then I will have the idea to think Om Namah Sivaya. Very quickly mind settles down and I drift into meditation. Very very sweet. This did not happen prior to Maa's suggestions. I really feel this is an example of how she tunes into us once we decide to follow her advice. Remember Mom this Mother's Day! Find a florist near you now.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us all.

I send you a hug, to tell you that you are wonderful and that you have inspired

Glad we belong to Maa and swamiji's family together...
