Guest guest
Namaste Swamiji, the reason i asked about visarjan is because lately my puja has been immersed in prayer for my band, community, family, our land and our farm. i also have been traveling and playing music festivals and praying for the land, the community, the people. praying to ganesh shiva and ma to reside there and help people and for their obstacles to be removed. sending love and healing vibrations. so there is a feeling of wanting to keep the deity residing there. i am seeking to do this with the utmost respect to ganesha shiva and ma. i read in sahib sadhu about the yagya preformed in a town that was full of rivalry and it helped to bring peace some way some how. i am wondering if this "shamanic" application of puja is mostly common in tantric system or is this all throughout the vedas. is this a correct bhava for puja that i am coming to understand? i feel that especially the chandi path has such healing power. i am wondering if we as practitioners are to consciously harness this quality or just practice for our own moksha? as i have heard you say how can i be liberated unless everyone is liberated. thank you for allowing me the space to ask these questions. with love, dan Nanda <chandimaakijai Tue, 19 May 2009 1:59 am [www.ShreeMaa.org] Swamiji answers - 18 - To perform Visarjan or not ? Question from Dan: Namaste Swamiji, I miss you. I hope all is well! I am wondering if there is ever a time to leave the prana pratishta established. As I travel around and do my sadhana at many places I am wondering when is appropriate to leave the energy established there and not do visarjan.I am wondering when a traveling sadhu does puja to a murti in a temple if they leave the energy established for the community and space around that place. Thank you so much for being such a radiant guiding light to my sadhana! Swamiji's response: You may make the Visarjana, drawing the energy back into yourself, even while leaving the murti or kalash that you have established where it is on the altar. Then our only hope is that the devotees for whom you left the murti or kalash will treat it with considerable respect, make offerings and perform meditation. Jai Maa! Wanna slim down for summer?
