Guest guest
Question from Kumari:I am continuing to study the Chandi and I read about how all the Gods combined their energies together and the Goddess manifested and then they all gave Her their weapons. This raises a doubt. Is Mother nothing but the combined energies of the Gods (or the Devotees)? You say in your interpretation that wherever we put our energies of devotion together Mother is given strength to fight the asuras. Does this mean She has no independent existence? Many people in the European pagan traditions that I studied have an idea like that in which the gods disappear unless the worshippers keep them alive. This would make Mother limited and puppet-like. How can She really be the Supreme if that is so? How can I resolve this?If this question has been asked before, please forgive me.Jai Maa, Jai Swamiji!KumariSwamiji's response:No, The Divine Mother's existence is independent from the Gods worship. She is manifest through devotion, but She remains in existence even when not manifest.
