Dear Kamala and all ~ can someone put a link to this "how to" on the site map? I guess it would link to the bookstore. And does anybody know how I can get one of the pamphlets that has all the items in the bookstore? The last time I tried to place an order, the order did not go through, but the money did. It was accepted as a donation, which was more than fine. I just want to order some things without this happening again. Any advice? Many thanks ~ Linda

Re: your question about the process of performing a Homa, in the event that noone has responded to your question "offline", may I suggest that you try using a beginner-level Homa text which Swami Satyananda included in the back of Devi Mandir Publication's Hanuman Puja book, 2001 edition. This is a good place to start if you are just starting to learn Homa. From the bottom of Page 153, this homa process 1) establishes with 3 flowers the energy of the Divine Fire, 2)provides the mantras and mudras for setting the wood in the havan kunda, 3) provides the mantras and mudras for igniting the Divine Fire, 4) establishes with flowers the 11 presiding dieties of the sacred Fire, and then includes the mantras of the primary dieties of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The Homa process concludes with the "Purnahuti" and "Visarjan" on pp. 168-170. This system of Homa can be adapted for worship of one particular diety, a combination of deities, use of a particular mantra like the Mrtyunjaya Mantra for the purpose of healing, use of the Gayatri Mantra for the purpose of Shraddah, the Nava Grahan Homa (worship of the nine planets, etc.
