Beloved Family

 

Swamiji just finished the Mahaloya Shraddh offerings. He offered at the altars

to the ancestors, at the fire to the devas and outside to all creatures in

nature.

 

The offerings were made as Swamiji read out the names of family members sent to

Him by email over the last 2 weeks -- it was amazing to hear names from soooo

many corners of the world -- English, French, German, Italian -- and within

India Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil...Swamiji often talks about " Vasudeva Kutumbam "

and this was a great example of how universal is the Devi Mandir Family.

 

Swamiji was reading out all the names from all the different countries with such

ease - I was remembering SAVARNI from Chandi Path -- he who belongs to all

creeds, castes and tribes. Shree Maa said, " He became Universal Father. "

 

Please join us for Navaratri celebrations from tomorrow. Shree Maa urges all of

us to chant the Navarna Mantra - as much as we can every day - " 5000 times " She

said.

 

Here in the Temple, we will be chanting Navarna Mantra by the fire in the

evening for 45 minutes. Throughout the day differen people will take turns to

chant it - to do a total of 100,000 during the Navaratri.
