Guest guest
Dear Kalia ~ thank you for including the links (I am printing them out to keep for reference ... how often I fall short). and for bringing the topic to the group. I believe the purposes of sadhana are to bring us closer to the Divine with out and within and to affect in a positive way how we see and treat ourselves and others. Sadhana also gives us the opportunity to remember to give the fruits of all we think, do, say and experience to God/dess. For worship, I like Swamiji's simple admonition, which I have always felt as quite profound: we thank God for the privilege of sitting with Him/Her and thus, also focusing our attention. Why do we worship? How would you respond to the question above? My humble answer would be – what else is there but worship? Weworship in one form or another – some people worship their bodies, others their wealth and so on but these are all transitory. While wemust respect our bodies and the necessary amount of material things(remembering too much and too little [] ), only our sadhana can takeus to the true goal of existence. Mydear friends and family – why do you do sadhana? Let us share anddiscuss our thoughts.
