Guest guest
Namaste everyone - I have a couple of questions I've been wanting to ask for a while. These are very basic, practical questions, so I apologise if they've already been answered elsewhere. 1. I would like to recite the Chandi as part of the beginner's Durga puja I do every morning. Obviously I can only recite sections of it (due to time restrictions): a section a day until I complete the whole book. My question is: say I reach Ch. 4 one morning, can I resume recitation the next day directly from Ch. 5 or do I have to include something else before? Also: if I take a sankalpa for the puja, do I have to take a separate sankalpa for the recitation of the Chandi, or can I simply start reading the text from the removal of curses etc.? 2. Talking of sankalpa, where can I find the Sanksrit names for the days of the week? So far I must confess I've omitted pronouncing the day (simply stating whether it is shukla or krishna paksha), but I'd like to fix this... Any help will much be appreciated. Guest guest
namaste sergio i will only share my experience as others will surely answer you as well. 1. you can pick up where you left off. when learning its very good to do what we can. ive always believed its better to do something than nothing. i know ma understands, we are trying to do our best. when learning the chandi we can do the path in a week. or 3 days and do cycles that way. for sankalpa just add " ca chandi patham " into the puja. for me i do "shiva pujam cha chandi patham " 2.. i recite the names of the days in english. ma speaks english too. again its better to do something than nothing, but its nice to learn in sanskrit. hope this helps. god bless!
