A Vertical, Heirarchical Society presents its' problems for spiritual seekers

Hi,

I have shared with the group before, my experiences with traditional " support

groups, " and fortuntely (for me), my sense of boundaries and accompanying

spirituality are becoming stronger.

Last night I was at a support group, where again a boundary violation took

place. While it didn't throw me off balance, like the last one(s) did, it did

make me take a look at setting a boundary and, my right to BE ME, without being

EDITED. Because of comments, religious (or even, non-religious) affiliation,

or, for anything, for that matter.

My seeking has brought me to this place of perception: that is, that Western

Society is essentially vertical and heirarchical, in nature. This structure

promotes competition, separation (versus true union with people), and a form of

" one-upmanship, " " I'm a bit better than you are, " types of interactions.

I am really looking forward to receiving my copy of The Chandi Paath, and to

growing spiritually.

Have any of you had similar problems, inter-relating, or am I just some kind of

a misfit, in Western Society?

Gary
