First Day of Spring Navaratri at the Devi Mandir

Mother came to her altar today, and Swami Satyananda to the homa fire to begin

the first day of Spring Navaratri--Swamiji chanting the Chandi and Shree Maa

doing puja to Shiva and other Gods and Goddesses. Shree Maa reminded me to pick

twelve white blooms from a miniature magnolia tree given to the ashram by a

devotee who met them both back in the 80's. As the ashram is situated in a

semi-arid oak forest, we must pay close attention to nurturing the vegetables

and trees we plant here. Mother was so pleased to see this little tree with

these blooms... May you all have a blessed first day of Navaratri and also a
