Namaste all family

I have been pondering something Maa said to me several weeks ago, She said, and

this is not a direct quote: whenever someone is negative in the Ashram, I feel

as if I have been poked hard in the stomach.

She did not offer anything else on this topic, and I did not discuss it further.

However, I have though often about it and have been relating it to my own daily

experience.

I am certain that I adversely effect my wife. I have been aware of my moods

swings, and observed my wife being more quiet and withdrawn when I am unsettled,

and more happy when I am full of bliss.

Maa has said many many times that we are all one soul. How important it is to

remember that intellectually and emotionally as well as strive to experience

that reality by living consciously and performing sadhana to purify ourselves in

order to experience more subtle levels of consciousness. .

How different this world would be if we all performed all actions as if " I was

doing something to Myself-for Myself " ?

How do each of you relate to Maa's statement?

Jai Maa Jai Shiva

Dear Vishweshwar, thank you for sharing this story from your relationship with

Maa. These stories are always nourishment for my soul, since I have yet to

travel to the Mandir for my first visit and meet Maa and Swamiji face to face

(though I know it will happen at the right time....)

I am touched by the truth of Maa's statement. God(dess) has made all of us with

the capacity to be exquisitely sensitive with each other. All of the tools that

Maa and Swamiji share so generously and open-heartedly with the world cultivate,

protect, and preserve those sensitivities so that we can become Divine Mother's

presence and love in each moment. The more we practice, the more we pray, the

more we can feel the truth of that interconnection, how we are One Soul, how my

sorrow is your sorrow, my joy your joy.

I hope that when I do make it there, to the Mandir, I am never an occasion to

cause Maa to feel that she is being poked in the stomach. This motivates me to

keep practicing now!!!! Thanks. Jennifer
