Guest guest
Namaste all family: On the theme of One Soul, here is another beautiful message from Maa from Her autobiography: " Living with the Soul " P. 66 A divine soul always lives with everything and everyone in the universe. Divine soul means God, complete consciousness with the universe. When a devotee is very devoted to God like she was, a divine soul is always with them. When a divine soul meets a pure devotee, a divine soul will always recognize then and know who they are and what their karma is. This the relationship between a devotee and God. For example, you feel me sometimes. Why do you feel that? Because I am with you. Whoever has that connection, that devotion, he will feel a divine soul is always with him, with oneness.... P. 67 When maya is pulling you, taking away your mind, when you are swimming in maya, you can't think about God. At that time you cannot tell who a divine being is. Therefore you need to meditate and do sadhana. Then you will know you are not separate from any soul. Then you can recognize a divine soul immediately. It is very beautiful and very easy, if we keep ourselves straight. Dear family, have you felt that connection and recognition with Maa? What draws you to her? Do 1 - 3 malas focusing on Mother and Swamiji and before long we are off on adventures. This way with them day AND night. Think the greatest help is what Swamiji suggested a while back: Hold onto Mothers Sari and don't let go. Took a strip of red stretchy, shinny cloth and sewed it together with red velvet and mesh rose petals and wear it so the cloth end and petals softly fall into hand. All day it is a reminder to hold onto Divine Mother. Very greatful for this advise Swamiji. Jai Maad
Guest guest
Jai Kali...Jai Maa I'm new to your list (about a month now), and have been waiting, but I'd like to share this story in response to the question below... A bit over 10 years ago, I met Maa and Swami for the first (and only) time. I was a Sikh for quite a few years, and had been brutalized by the Oakland police department for follow the Sikh Rehat. I was staying with a friend in the area, who brought me to a Yajna at the temple... I had been filled with fears, anxieties, sadness, hatred, anger (all of the above and more LOL) because of what had happened to me that day on Amtrak in Oakland...well...all of the " meditation " in the world had no " effect " to change that...then that day we arrived there at the temple, and Swami Ji and Shree Maa were there...the brightness of the yoga I had been practicing, gave way in that moment, to the most profound, lustrous, luscious, cradling, embracing darkness...when I looked at her, all I saw was vastness, incomprehensible to this mind. I still saw " her " yet, simultaneously the above, and then during the Homa as offering were being thrown into the fire, she appeared to me as Kali Maa, eating, digesting, purifying and exalting the negativity, and the " self " that I seemed to be. As I left that day, to make this story short, major transformations began occurring in my life. I won't say by whom or how, but a month later, a mantra was given me in a dream. And to this very moment, all I need do is even have the slightest intention to bring the mantra to mind and in its vibration am swept into this selfsame Silence, this vast Darkness (Sunyanivasini, She Who Dwells in Silence)... all light and fullness, and profound Peace, such that I cease to exist (apparently, in that " moment " ) Although I do not any longer follow the Sikh Rehat, I owe my life to Gur' Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj...he brought me to that point. I don't want to take up any more of ya'lls precious time, other than to say, one has only to open (or close) their eyes, Maa is everywhere, everything, every activity, in its most basic primal form. Kali Maa, she is the MAHA " Black Hole " of the Cosmos....eating, digesting, and " vanishing " all that seems to exist...and at the end in a nuclear response, gifting it back to us as Gur Prasad, the gifts of Grace and transformation. Although a simple man, I follow the discipline given to me that evening in a dream...and posess neither pretence, nor feign ignorance...I am nothing (no " thing. " ) I have a picture of Maa on my altar along with my murti of Dakshina Kali Maa and the other deities, as well as Sunyanivasini, in the heart. Ever Gratefully, Jivaakabhasana/Joseph Dear family, have you felt that connection and recognition with Maa?What draws you to her?Jai Maa Jai Swamivishweshwar -- **** " ...all energy is only borrowed; at some point you have to return it " ~Neytiri~Avatar ****
Guest guest
Dear Devi and all, Swamiji's advice to hold on to Maa's sari has helped me too; when I hold the mala, I count the beads with one hand and with the other I hold onto the yellow tassel at the end of the 'gurubead', imagining I am holding onto Maa's sari:) In response to the question about the connection with Maa; even though I am a long way away physically, the connection is there. Even though I try to get away sometimes, I find I cannot; I sometimes think She has tied me to Her like some mothers do to make sure their children don't get into too much trouble. Or that there is a kind of elastic band which makes me bounce back to the Devi Mandir. And all the good that has come to me in recent years has come because of Her blessings and Swamiji's tireless work for our benefit. I sometimes think I am imagining things, and Maa cannot possible know what I feel or help me (because I am just so and so, She doesn't know me, bla bla), but then I just 'know' what I feel is true, and She can and does. She is here, always, Jai Maa, Henny - In , devi <student61754 wrote: > > > > --- On Thu, 4/15/10, inspectionconnection108 <inspectionconnection108 wrote: > > inspectionconnection108 <inspectionconnection108 > [www.ShreeMaa.org] Maa-we are with Her Always > > Thursday, April 15, 2010, 1:27 AM >  > > > Namaste all family: > > > > Dear family, have you felt that connection and recognition with Maa? > > What draws you to her?Jai Maa Jai Swami > > > > vishweshwarOh yes! Guest guest
I feel a connection when I listen to Shree Maa chanting on a CD or when I chant along with the Durga Puja CD. I feel as if we are doing the puja together and she makes me feel very calm and happy. Jai Maa! Guest guest
I like that idea Devi. It is similar to when I put a shawl around my head and shoulders when I do japa. It feels comforting and soft and warm. I will think of it as Maa's presence from now on. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Oh yes I agree. When ever I put my sari over my head or my shawl it feels that way. So glad you brought that up.I have a small piece of blanket fabric that got at craft store. It is color of Mothers sari. When i sleep it is Her sari and It can wrap around me and keep me safe and warm or be across my pillows and become Her lap. JAI MAABeing with Mother is everything. This added with Vishweshwars latest post about being one with Maa brings to mind a wonderful experience. You know the image of Hanuman opening His chest and Mother inside. That is a great way to picture Mother inside our hearts all the time. These other things are outside stimulus but we really want Her inside our hearts. To be one with Her. I think that is what it is all leading too.Jai Maa I like that idea Devi. It is similar to when I put a shawl around my head and shoulders when I do japa. It feels comforting and soft and warm. I will think of it as Maa's presence from now on. Jai Maa!
