Guest guest
Swamiji wrote me that he and Shree Maa arrived in Delhi on Monday. Tonight he suggested that I post this blog for him. " We went to Kolkata in the morning and returned to Delhi in the night. Upon arrival, we went straight to Bellevue Hospital, where Joy Deep has been having complications due to his countless bouts with Dialysis. By the time we reached his room, our number swelled to about 15 devotees, who had heard that we came to town. Kolkata has changed so much. There is new construction going up every where: malls, modern offices and stores, lots of new apartments. Only the traffic jams are the same. It reminds of of Gurgaon, the little town outside of Delhi, which is now the home of almost every multinational corporation in the world. The name Gurgaon means " the village where they make molasses. " Kokata is moving in the same direction, with hugh commercial complexes with names like " Technopolis, " and the like. Any way, Joy Deep perked up when Maa and I and 15 devotees came into his room. We met his doctor, the nurses on the floor, gave everyone lots of blessings, and went off to visit Dr. Rai, the famous homeopath. He is quite a man. He came to Kolkata from his village in Bihar some 35 or 40 years ago with a box of medicines, and today he has an amazing practice, a college, and a team of doctors working under him. He has an amazing outlook on life, a beautiful smile, and constantly tells people the letter " P " for Problem never comes close to him! He is a man with NO Problems! After a beautiful meeting with our dear old friend, everyone had lunch, and took us back to the airport. We reached Delhi by 9 PM, had some dinner, I answered emails, and went to sleep by midnight. I awoke at 3 AM, sang the Chandi, and now we are going for a walk in the Haus Klaus Rose Garden. " I am so grateful to Swamiji for helping me be happy at this time. Hearing from him and knowing how he and Maa are doing, what they are doing, brings me total peace and joy. I am glad he asked me to share.
